Today is my first day of classes at the place I will call home for the next four years, VCU! I woke up this morning, got showered and ready. My nerves started to get to me, but I put my ear buds in to listen to Barbell Business and cracked an orange monster open. I went to my Intro to Psychology class, which is a lecture with over 300 students. I was extremely excited to start this class because I’ve been wanting to learn more about how our minds work so I can have more insight in the relation to human performance (the mental side of training). That’s how I would relate this class to my life. The next class I went to was my Focused Inquiry class, which is all about critical thinking, discussion, and the growth of students through literature. Finally, I finished up the day with Math 141, which is just an algebra and graphing class. Honestly, I can’t say express how happy I am being here at VCU and can’t wait to start this journey into my higher education.
