Ill share with you a Free Verse Poem I had to write for my English class last school year, I was inspired by powerlifting and many other things in life.  I found another poem about lifting/ life as a type of model but I couldn’t find it to post along with mine.

Strength
What is strength?
Is Strength being able to withstand an unbearable load on your shoulders as you squat down then Stand back up?
Is strength that young boy every day knowing he’s dying of cancer but still waking up smiling brighter than any sun? Is strength that woman who lost many children to disease but still moves forward?
Is strength that man who lives in his car because he lost everything but still hasn’t lost hope?
Strength for me is all my emotions, hopes, dreams, and ambitions and fears   Molded into the knurling of an iron bar ripping into my skin.
Strength is having the will to stand back up after being knocked down again and again and again.
